From our paribar

Court to community

For many of us, Northeast Florida is home because we built a circle here — puja committees, picnic coolers, language classes, and the friends who become family. Dhiren and Ranjan extend that same spirit onto the badminton court: early-morning drives to the YMCA, rally drills after work, and the quiet focus it takes to read an opponent's next shot.

At the Jacksonville Badminton Championship, the gym floor was loud with squeaks, cheers, and the steady thwack of shuttlecocks. Dhiren climbed to the top of the Intermediate mixed doubles draw — a win built on communication with his partner, patience in long rallies, and the confidence that comes from showing up week after week. Ranjan reached the Advanced mixed doubles final and walked away with a runner-up medal — a reminder that the last point is never the whole story when you have played your best.

Our people compete with discipline and grace — proud whether the banner says first or second.

We may not have every score sheet or partner name yet, but we know what these results mean for OSNEF. If you play locally or want to pick up a racket, connect with the broader Jacksonville badminton community — you might find a few familiar faces from our paribar on the other side of the net.
