Anand Bazar is HSNEF's fundraising food fair. Communities across Jacksonville sell homemade dishes and every sale supports the temple. OSNEF joins with our own cooking, our volunteers, and our yearly donation: our thank-you to the temple that hosts our Rath Yatra and so many shared gatherings.

Dates, booth maps, and official updates come from the Hindu Society of Northeast Florida. The temple provides tents, tables, and live-cooking setup. Volunteer groups bring the food and the crowd.

How the fair works
Picture a market of home cooking for a good cause. You buy a plate, taste your way across India, and the temple keeps the proceeds for maintenance, programs, and the spaces we rely on when festival season arrives.
Organized by the temple
HSNEF hosts Anand Bazar for the whole community
The Hindu Society of Northeast Florida plans and runs the fair: tents, layout, cooking areas, and the rhythm of a busy afternoon. Every dollar from food sales goes back into temple improvements and care. OSNEF stands beside HSNEF as a partner. We are not the host on paper, but we are present in the kitchen and at the booth every year.
Many states, many kitchens
Representatives bring their home food to sell
Community leaders from different Indian states across Jacksonville set up booths with dishes they grew up eating. You might start with Odia dalma and pakhala, then try something from another region before your plate is empty. The variety is why people come back, and why the lines stay long until the last tray is sold.
OSNEF’s part
We cook, volunteer, and donate
Each year we treat Anand Bazar as our seva for the temple. We help prepare food ahead of time, work shifts at our booth, and cook on site when HSNEF sets up tents and live kitchens. Some dishes start in our homes; some finish on temple equipment with everyone else. We also make an annual donation from our community so the temple can keep improving the grounds we all use on festival weekends.
A full afternoon
Come hungry and stay for the crowd
Families, students, neighbors, and first-time visitors walk the rows of stalls, eat on paper plates in the shade, and run into friends they did not know were in town. It is well organized, loud in the best way, and honestly one of the easiest introductions to how diverse Indian Jacksonville really is.

Our yearly seva for the temple
Anand Bazar belongs to HSNEF and the wider community. Still, our families treat it as a responsibility: show up early, cook seriously, serve with a smile, and put our donation behind the temple's work. If you want to help at the Odia booth or learn what we are making this year, reach out before the fair. We are happy to put you on the schedule.
